About

CanadaBrainstorm.ca is intended to be a repository of ideas on how to improve Canada. Anyone from anywhere in the world is free to register, contribute ideas, and vote on ideas relating to areas such as government, society, education, and media. With this bank of ideas, public and private institutions can adopt the best ideas and bring them to reality.

CanadaBrainstorm.ca will remain free of any advertising and any user is free to join.

I am currently the sole moderator of the site. However, as the flow of ideas increases, volunteers to moderate the various categories will be welcome. Ideas will be evaluated and approved based on the clarity and tone.

This site was developed using Ideatorrent and Drupal.

About Me
Prior to becoming a Canadian citizen in 1995, I was born in Lebanon to a Filipino mother and an Arab father and have lived in Nigeria, Jordan, and the US. Living mainly around Southern Ontario, I have also travelled to both ends of Canada visiting St. John's, Newfoundland, and Vancouver, British Columbia.

Graduating in 2000 with a B.A.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Waterloo, I have worked as a design and process engineer in the high-tech, aerospace, and automotive industries. Focusing on Entrepreneurship and Innovation, I completed the full-time MBA program at the Queen's School of Business in May, 2009.

I am currently looking to work in a professional settings with entrepreneurs in helping them develop their ideas into viable commercial businesses. I want to help with assessing their ideas and addressable market, analyzing their ability to protect their ideas, developing their business plan, and help in securing funding for a new company start-up.

Inspired by the Brainstorm Ubuntu site, I created CanadaBrainstorm.ca as an effort to provide a forum where ideas for improving Canada can be evaluated and discussed among everyday Canadians and citizens of other countries. My hope is that some of the more popular ideas will be adopted by public policy makers and private industry leaders and brought to reality.
